Our family's two-day getaway at Anna's Farm Stay in October was genuinely memorable. We were welcomed warmly by Anna, who made the farmhouse feel like home. With its rich history and beautiful furnishings, it was like stepping into a cozy museum. Though the rain on our first day kept us indoors, it didn't dampen our spirits. Anna treated us to a lovely dinner featuring traditional dishes like chicken pie and bobotie, which the kids devoured. Breakfast was equally delightful, with a spread that catered to everyone's tastes. The highlight for the children came on our second, sunny day. We got an exclusive tour by Pieter, Anna's son, who took us along the harvested fields on a truck. The kids were fascinated to watch the barley-cooking process up close-an educational experience they wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. The tranquility of the farm was perfect for relaxation, while the presence of friendly dogs and cats offered some playful distraction for my little ones.
